You know what? We all need to just try to relax and slow down for a little while. Stop and smell the turkey. Time is fleeting, and we can't get it back once its gone. Special memories don't have to be only from years gone by. They can be made right now. Who knows? This may just be that best Christmas ever, if we take time to really enjoy it.
And, we shouldn't forget the real meaning of this sacred holiday. One of my traditions is watching the Peanuts cartoon. I love the quoting of scripture in that special: "And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger."
That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.
Merry Christmas everybody!
